had a hankerin’ to go back to this spot in Fort Worden State Park (the same place I shot this image a couple of years ago) and shoot with the old life boat again. so we did. :) the weather was lovely, we made perfect time with the ferry & I got to wear this vintage dress I bought long ago and had forgotten about.

second selfie from last weekend. I went to Magunson Park and climbed to the top of a hill that I’d never climbed before. at the top was this tree, all split & growing in different directions. it was the only thing there so I pretty much had to take a photo with it. the climb back down was easy and the day was warm and lovely. I listend to reggae with the windows down on the drive home.

I’m very pleased to say that my image tropic of cancer is showing as part of the SKIN exhibit at Darkroom Gallery this month. stop by if you’re in the area~

I’ve really been hating my selfies for a long time now. they’re so much harder than simply taking photos of another person which I’d much rather do, hands down. but I still love the spontaneity of selfies. just taking off on your own to create something, so I vowed to get out this past weekend and shoot some selfies outside (everything inside I completely hated) and to use my 50mm. another thing I haven’t done in a while. the weather was wonderful and finally felt like Spring. it was good to be out in it.

well, here’s to gettin’ back into it. :)

last month my friend Paul and I took a tour of the Paramount Theater and I snapped a few photos of the lovely guilded walls and staircases they have knowing I’d want to edit something with them at some point. I loved this pose of Alysia from our fashion shoot at the Sculpture Park for it’s uniqueness so I dropped her into this shot of the second floor balcony and basically got all Tim Walker inspired from there. :)
going to go enjoy a cup of tea now~

I ran over to my condo on the day they had packed up everything so the new carpets and hardwoods could be laid down with hopes of being inspired by a big empty space. meh. I was however intrigued by my bed as they’d wrapped it in plastic. I only had this dark blue dress and didn’t feel like doing a nude. (super cold in there after no one living in it for two and a half months!) so I did this. I rather like it. I kind of look like a baby seal. ;)

I just LOVED this landscape I took at the Maryhill Museum grounds so I figured I’d try and work one of my selfies in that I took 3 miles down the road at mini Stonhenge. I’m diggin’ the other worldlyness of it~
the original landscape looks across the cloumbia river from washington to oregon.

took a drive all the way out to Maryhill, Washington to see the stonehenge monument that’s out there. we had a great road trip and an awesome time at the monument. there was pretty much no one there and the light was gorgeous. photographers dream. :)
