a chance encounter by brookeshaden on Flickr.Via Flickr: Just before I set up to do a different shot yesterday, I was suddenly hit with an idea that felt very complete, the kind of inspiration that you don’t have to look for, it just finds you. I was inspired by The Shining and those twins, and also by Alice in Wonderland. I thought about tea parties and politeness and curtsies and all that goes into making a “lady”. And then I thought about how grotesque a divergence from that “perfect” behavior would be in an image like this, and so it had to be created. It is a continuing of this. I was also inspired by Ashley’s use of coloring a b/w image, and so I used the technique of turning this b/w and then using selective coloring to give it an old photograph type of feeling. Just a bit of experimenting from me :) View high resolution
